UPRIGHT AMMO BOX PREPARATION  INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Position the ammo box in an upright position with the hinged side as the top and the latch as the bottom.

  2. Remove the lid and set aside

  3. Place the Top of Box Pattern on what is now the top of box.

  4. Place the template provided on the center line.  Making sure the center of template is centered on the line.

  5. Mark for the motor shaft and motor mounting studs.

  6.  Indent with a sharp awl. 

  7. Drill a 1/8" hole at each of the three indentations.

  8. Using a drill press and a 1 3/16" hole bit make an opening for the motor shaft.

  9. Using a 3/16" bit drill holes for the #10 mounting studs.

  10. If you have purchased our mounting studs.  Mark holes on each side of the container at the center top line for mounting the side straps to the container, by using the mounting brackets as a pattern.

  11. Using the template pattern provided drill the two holes on the left side of the container to mount the control panel.

  12. If you are going to prepare your container to hook up a solar panel drill the holes for the binding posts, by following the Solar Panel accessory kit instructions. 

  13. File off all burs from the drilled holes both inside and outside of container..

  14. Clean and paint the container.

  15. Install the side mounts and attach the mounting studs.

  16. Install the binding posts by following the instructions, apply the label over the holes.  Hook solar panel hook-up wires to the binding posts on the inside of container making sure you connect the POS. and NEG. to correct binding post.

  17. Install the motor.( If you have purchased a motor you received a close cell gasket make sure you put this on your motor.  Once you have mounted the motor, trim some of the gasket from around the shaft with a sharp blade, leaving about 1/4" of it around the edge of hole.

  18. Place the spinner on the motor.

  19. Install the control panel to the side of the left side of ammo box.

  20. Connect the motor wires from the control panel to the motor terminals on the motor wires.

  21. Connect the battery wires from the control panel to the solar panel lead wire.  You are now ready to hook up the control panel to the battery.

  22. Install your feeder to a barrel.  Adjusting the mounting studs so the spinner is about 5/8" from the feed shoot.
