Some Suggestions for your funnel.

 Funnel Sketch

Shown on the accompanying  drawing  is a pattern for a funnel, while it is not perfect it will work.  Cut a pattern out of card board or paper first, so you may see how it will fit.  Adjust as needed.  Some instructions are below. 

It can be made of sheet aluminum or sheet tin.  Tin can be soldered and aluminum can be riveted together.

  1. The first thing you will have to do is take the measurements of the diameter of your container.
  2. Your pattern will have to be twice the size of this measurement.
  3. The length of your paper will have to be this size.
  4. Fold the paper in the center.  You will now have a square piece of paper the size of your diameter of the  container.
  5. You will need a piece of string that is the same measurement after you have tied it to a pencil.
  6. Hold or anchor the string at the top center of the fold of the square. 
  7. Stretch the string and with your pencil round off the paper to the fold.
  8. Do the same for the cut out for the feed shoot.
  9. When you open the paper it should look like this diagram.

  10. The dimensions of the opening can be adjusted.  The distance from the center target line to the edge of feed shoot be  1".  We recommend 2" opening.  Therefore the measurement would be 1 ". When you open the paper it should look like this diagram.
