Click on Barrels and your will be provided some information and an accompanying sketch of a typical barrel feeder construction. This sketch may be of some help to you. It is a sketch of a 55 gallon barrel. The design can be used for a hanging or tripod. Barrel legs can be used to protect your feeder when you lower it to fill, and if you use a tripod, they can be used to insert into extensions.
Click on Funnels and you will be taken to a page which will provide a simple sketch and instructions which you can use to make a funnel. It can be cut out of aluminum sheet for a light weight funnel or sheet tin. It is a simple sketch, but as you know they can also be purchased. The amount of feed dispersed depends on the size of the feed shoot and the distance the spinner is set from the feed shoot. We recommend a distance of 5/8". The regularity of feeding has been shown to be more important than the quantity of feed distributed. Feeding small quantities on a regular basis is the best way to attract or maintain game in your hunting area.
